University of Stuttgart:

The department Life Cycle Engineering (LCE, German "GaBi") at the Institute for Acoustics and Building Physics (IABP) at Stuttgart University (Germany) was founded in 1989. The interdisciplinary team of currently 21 full-time academic staff provides independent ecological, economic and technical decision-support along the life cycle of products, processes, and services. GaBi's research focus is on methodologies in LCI (Life Cycle Inventory) modelling, LCIA (Life Cycle Impact Assessment), and societal sustainability. Various PhD theses have been successfully finished and several are on-going. The know-how is transferred to students in three university courses. The engineering background, the extensive project experience and the successful linking of research with practical application in industry leads to high qualitative, reliable and customer-oriented solutions.
Mr. Nathanael Ko holds a Master (German Diploma) in Environmental Engineering and is a researcher in the group "Energy and Mobility" of the Department Life Cycle Engineering (GaBi) at the Institute for Acoustics and Building Physics (IABP) of the University of Stuttgart. Within the research team, he is concerned with life cycle assessment of CSP and future mobility solutions.
