Slovenia Farms


The farm representing the Slovenian lamb production system is a farm located in the Alpine bioregion on an altitude of 211 m. As characteristic for this region, the farm runs an extensive production system rearing one of the typical and autochthonous Slovenian sheep breed - the Jezersko-solčavska sheep. The Case Study Farm flock is around 35 adult females and the natural insemination is carried out by the ram. For the breed is characteristic quite a good rate of twins. The farm is active in the Jezersko-solčavska sheep national breeding program.
